Congratulations to Rachael Wall (javelin) and Alex Riley (1500m), both of whom will be representing England in the Under 20 Welsh International on August 26th.
Rachael has consistently improved her javelin personal best this season. She secured the gold medal at the England U20 Champs and replicated her victory at the English Schools, completing her podium collection after previously earning silver and bronze. Rachael is also the reigning Sussex U20 Champion.
Alex Riley
Alex’s impressive season includes a bronze medal at the England U20 Champs and a silver at the English Schools, in the 1500m. He also dominated his age group in the 800m and 1500m at the Sussex Champs, claiming gold medals in both events. Alex has significantly lowered his personal bests in the two distances this season.
The competition will involve England U18, England U20, Northern Ireland U20, Scotland U20, The Islands (Channel Islands & Isle of Man), Wales U20, and Welsh Schools.
