Hello and thank you for your interest in joining Brighton and Hove City Athletic Club, either for you or for your child.

We cater for the athletic development of people aged 9 to 99!

Check out the pages under Training – these give you information about the different training groups and how to contact coaches, training times and whether coaching groups have space.

If you are a junior athlete (under 19) please do not join the club until you have spoken to a coach. Your membership will be rejected but you will be able to sign up again when you’ve had a taster session.

MEMBERS SUPPORT FUND

Do you need help to pay for training, membership, injury issues or to travel to compete for the club?

Brighton & Hove Athletic Club has a dedicated fund to support club members. Please don’t suffer in silence; we can help out with small grants.

More information and application form can be found on our Welfare and Inclusiveness page

 MEMBERSHIP INFO

  • Membership runs from 1st January to 31st December of a calendar year.
  • Subscriptions must be renewed each January.
  • Membership entitles you to coaching and competition with the club.

The membership rates include the England Athletics fee (which is £20 for the 2025-26 season) for athletes to be affiliated and therefore eligible to compete in certain competitions. It is club policy that all club athletes are affiliated.

(If you join as a Second Claim athlete, your First Claim club needs to pay your EA fee)

You must be a current member to compete for the club otherwise, you may be disqualified from competition.

When renewing your membership, please ensure you apply for the correct membership category.

If you are a coach or an official volunteer with the club (or a life member) please sign up so we have your details but there is no charge to join the club. If you also wish to compete, the England Athletics fee is still payable.
