It was an early start on Sunday, but the sun was out, and the coach was packed as the club’s under 13 and under 15 athletes made their way to Bedford for the first YDL competition of 2022.
Team Manager Kate Matthews said, “It was a brilliant day. We couldn’t cover every event, but all the athletes were amazing. So many of them volunteered to fill in gaps just to get points. I couldn’t have asked for more!”
Overall we came third, just 11 points behind the second-placed team.
Well done to all the athletes who competed, many of whom set personal bests also.
