Two fantastic runs and a five-second 800m personal best helped under 17 Alex Riley bring home some metal from the England Athletic age group Championships.
In his heat, Alex broke through the elusive two minute barrier for the first time, clocking 1:58.66 to secure his place in the final. There he ran even faster to bag the bronze behind our former athlete, Miles Waterworth (PHX), who won the race in 1:56.32.
