At the England Athletics Age Group Championships in Sheffield at the weekend Florence Matten shined once again with a championship-winning clearance of 3.76m in the Under 15 girls pole vault. Setting a new British Athletics indoor age-group record. Florence’s attention now turns to the Sussex U15 record of 3.81m, held by Lewes AC’s Gemma Tutton, which also stands as the overall GB Under 15 record.
Also in action at the weekend was Ava James at the Home Counties International XC at a muddy Parliament Hill, running in the U20 women’s team she finished a fabulous 2nd!
