The Brighton & Hove AC veteran ladies team top the women’s division of the Sussex Veterans League, after the first of this season’s fixtures at Eastbourne. With a depleted men’s team coming in behind the hosts, we are in second place overall.
It was Jo Wilding’s first match as women’s team manager and the multi-eventer certainly led by example competing in the High Jump, 1k Walk, 100m and 4x100m relay. For the men’s team ultra distance runner, Kevin Rojas, epitomised team spirit by taking on the 100m to ensure the team had the sprints covered.
