The deadline for the Sussex Schools Combined Events Championships has been extended. The competition, at Withdean Stadium on Wednesday 28th May, is open to all young athletes from Years 7 to 11.
The youngest athletes do a quadrathlon (Hurdles, Long Jump, Shot Put and 800m). The Juniors’ (Years 8 & 9) add High Jump for a standard pentathlon and the Intermediate athletes (Years 10 & 11) do a pentathlon with javelin rather than shot. The top performers will be selected to represent Sussex in the English Schools South East Combined Events Championships at the end of June.
Senior athletes (Years 12 & 13) who would like to be considered for the Sussex team for the heptathlon and decathlon should contact meeting manager Steve King directly on 07958 284587 or email: stephen.king720@ntlworld.com
Entry is free to students at any School affiliated to Sussex AA. Teachers,’ parents, carers or guardians can complete the entry form.
