Congratulations to Reg Hook who has been named as Volunteer of the Year at the Brighton & Hove City Sports Awards. Reg, 80 was awarded for his outstanding dedication and support of local athletics for more than 50 years.
Reg dedicates much of his time behind the scenes to ensure others can enjoy a sport they love. Reg compiled the first ever list of Brighton Records starting with senior men and eventually producing records through the age groups, and has been a committee member of Brighton & Hove Athletics Club since 1949. He has also been a member of the Sussex Schools Athletics Committee for more than 50 years and is the outgoing ediotor of the sussex County Website. Reg has for many years been, and continues to be, a linchpin for athletics in the city and the county.
