Medals galore for B&H athletes at the 2019 county T&F champs

May 14, 2019

There were many stunning performances, lots of podium places and personal bests for club athletes at the Sussex Track & Field Championships at K2, over the weekend of the 11th and 12th May 2019.

Brighton athletes competed in 151 events in the U15- Senior categories and we came away with 27 gold medals. We also had an amazing 21 athletes compete in the U13 Minithon.

Well done to all the athletes who took part in what was on Saturday all four seasons in one day, before a calmer sunnier Sunday!

You can read Mel Anning’s Day 1 county report here and Kate Matthews Day 2 report here.

Thanks too to Kate Matthews and Shelley Baker who were the meeting managers for the third year in a row and did a splendid job. Both are former Brighton & Hove AC athletes, whose children now compete for the club. Kate is also an endurance coach for us.

Paula Blackledge has compiled a list of all the athletes who achieved a podium position. If anyone has been omitted in error please contact us.
