There were some fantastic results from the British Masters Pentathlon Championships and the South of England Championships for the two competing Brighton athletes at Lee Valley on Sunday 12th February.
Julia Machin competed in the W45 age group and achieved a British Championships win with 4357 points for her pentathlon. Julia had a solid day with an 80m hurdles PB of 9.38, a 1.63m high jump, 10.41m shot put, 5.03m long jump and finished off with a 2.42.76 800m to secure her title and yet another British record.
Meanwhile, in the South of England Championships, David Spencer won his 200m in a seasons best time and continued this winning streak to win his 400m in another seasons best.
