Lois races to Silver in the Years’ 7 & 8 Sussex Schools’ Cross Country Championships

In firm and dry conditions more than five hundred runners contested the Sussex Schools Year 7 and Year 8 Cross-country championships at Christ’s Hospital in Horsham.

Racing was good in all four races and there were some great results for Brighton & Hove athletes – the highlight being a silver medal for Lois Dooley in the Year 7 girls’ race.

The leading 20 athletes in each age group have been selected to take part in the Year 7/8 inter-counties at Tonbridge this Saturday. Good Luck to all of you.

Year 7 girls: 2nd – Lois Dooley, 5th – Pia Lewis, 10th – Morgan Thomas, 13th – Roxy Jones, 20th – Astrid Blackledge.

Year 7 boys: 5th – Tom Roberts, 7th – Baxter Fletcher.

Year 8 girls: 4th – Niamh Halloren, 6th – Flo Robinson, 16th – Amber Wright, 17th – Scarlett Miller, 28th – Beth Smith.Steyning also won the schools title with Niamh, Flo, Amber and Beth.

Year 8 boys: 5th – Finn Halloren, 7th – Max Brazier, 17th – Lucas Losh.Patcham won the schools title with Max and Lucas
