Becky Owen struck bronze in the South of England Combined events championships at Oxford in July.
Competing in the senior Heptathlon the Brighton & Hove all-rounder was just one of two club athletes in action but Katie Garland had to withdraw through injury and it was Owen who snatched third place with a total of 4317 points.
