Newsletter September 2018

The 35th Brighton 10K – Sunday 18th November

The Brighton 10K is an annual fundraising event for the club. Money from the event has been used to provide transport for some of the Brighton and Hove teams competing all over the country, as well as for providing help for individual or small groups of athletes depending on need. Also, the roof of the clubhouse was recently completely replaced at a cost of over £10,000 which was provided by the proceeds.

This year the event is being run on the seafront and we need a number of volunteers to help look after the runners and marshall the route. Please try to come along and help, it is your club and this is a way you can make a real difference. Your coaches and officials put in hours of unpaid volunteering work and it would be great to help repay them a little with a contribution of your time.

The event starts at 9.30 and ends at 12.30 (although volunteers (depending on tasks may be needed a little outside these hours.

Emma Bristow is co-ordinating volunteers from the club so please e-mail her with your availability. Emma158@yahoo.com

Thank you in advance, this makes a real difference.
