Being nominated as President of your club is one of the highest community honours outside of sporting participation.
We celebrate the many former athletes and key officials of Brighton & Hove AC who have held this prestigious role.
Melanie Anning, our current President, has been a long-standing committee member and club official. She managed club communications for a decade, during which she led a major overhaul of the website. A former athlete herself, Melanie competed for Aldershot, Farnham & District and Hampshire in her youth. She is the mother of three daughters, all of whom have represented the club. Her eldest, Amber, is one of Brighton & Hove’s most accomplished athletes, holding multiple club, county and British records. She won two Olympic medals at Paris 2024 and became World Indoor Champion over 400m in 2025.
We thank Melanie for her ongoing service and honour our past Presidents for their contributions to shaping Brighton & Hove AC into the vibrant club it is today.
