Sussex AA star Amber Anning shone brightly at the British Championships last weekend.
The Brighton & Hove AC athlete took gold in the 400m comfortably booking her place in the forthcoming Olympics.
Clocking a CBP of 50.47 in the final, the 23 year old talent was half a second faster than her competitors.
The amazing achievement was topped off when she was presented her gold medal by Sussex AA vice
president and mum, Melanie Anning.
She will soon be flying back to the USA to concentrate on preparing for Paris in August.
Before this though she took a step back to where it all began – visiting the youngsters training at Withdean Stadium, Brighton, on Tuesday evening training.
