Congratulations to Brighton & Hove AC’s Amber Anning who is now a Team GB Olympic BRONZE Medallist after running the anchor leg in the Mixed 4x400m Relay in Paris.
After Team GB qualified through the heats a few days prior, Amber replaced Nicole Yeargin in the final of the event on Saturday. Running alongside Sam Reardon, Laviai Nielson and Alex Haydock-Wilson, Amber ran the anchor leg gaining Team GB a Bronze medal, their very first medal in the athletics!
In fact, Amber’s 400m split was an incredible 48.81 seconds, confirmed as the second fastest EVER run by a British athlete!
Well done Amber – I know so many of the BHAC community was watching and cheering as you crossed the line… Now to tackle the Women’s 400m event – We wish you the best of luck!
