The Under 13 boys and girls – who are the reigning county champions – had a convincing win in their first Sussex League (East) fixture of 2015. Some eighteen athletes were competing for the first time in this competition. There were many excellent performances on the field and on the track, despite the very windy conditions which dampened times. It was also great to see some athletes competing outside of their comfort zone – in field events – to gain valuable points for the team.
Well done also to our non scorers who filled in where we were short. Thanks to all the parents for your support and to the officials without whom these meetings could not be held.
The next U13 competition is the YDL home match on Saturday 30th May and the next dates for the U13 Sussex League are as follows:
Wednesday 17th June at Lewes
Wednesday 22nd July at Eastbourne
Sunday 6th September at Crawley the Sussex Under 13 Final where we will meet the clubs from the west league.
