There were ups and downs for the Brighton & Hove team, who appear to be the only Sussex Club that made the trip to Sutton Park, Birmingham for the National six-stage road relay championships.
Running the first leg Stephen Ferroni finished back in 73rd place in 19:28s but is making progress to regain his top form but the second leg saw a cracking run from Will Gray who make up some thirty places to finish 43rd in 18:00s.
Howard Bristow made further progress in the third lap moving up to 27th in 18:13s while James Turner slipped a couple of places on the fourth leg in 18:47s.
Ian Crowe-Wright has made considerable steps in the last couple of weeks on his recovery from injury and he took the team up to 24th on the penultimate leg in 18:24s while the final leg saw Andrew Donno, who replaced Dino Evangelidis from the Southern Championship team, slip back to finish in 31st place in 20:27s.
