Southern XC Champs 2017 report

A fine run from Rebecca Losh gave her a top 10 placing in the South of England U13 Cross Country Championships race at Parliament Hill Fields on Saturday. Bodyworks triathlete Bethany Cook took the title and Losh, who had been runner up to Cook in the County championship crossed the line in a sparkling eighth place.

In the Senior Women’s race Emma Dixon, who is now living and working in London and running for the Highgate Harriers filled in 15th place and Jamie Knapp who runs in the Sussex League for Brighton & Hove who filled sixth place. County Master’s champion from last week Howard Bristow (Brighton & Hove) placed 50th with club mates Kevin Moore 60th and James Turner 75th. Meanwhile Olivia Lyon-Monk was 39th in the U17 Women’s race.Brighton & Hove placed eighth in the U13 Girls, 12th in the U17 women and 18th in the U15 girls’ team events and 17th in the senior men’s.
