Good form for B&H youngsters at the South of England X-Country Championships, Saturday 24th January 2015

January 29, 2015

Well done to everyone who competed on Saturday on what was a beautiful day at Stanmer Park. There were some excellent performances and a special mention to Finn Halloren 36th in the U13B race and sister Niamh 63rd in the U13 Girls’ race who both led home their teams. Ten of our U13’s will still be in the same age group next year.

In the U15 and U17 boys races Tomer Tarragano in his first year came 52nd and Brodie Denholm also in his first year came 36th. Both will be running for Sussex in the inter counties in March. Another U15 boy Tommy Blanden did really well to dip under the first 100 in 96th. Stephen Ferroni one of the day’s medal favourites was forced to pull out of the U17 race.

In the U17 girls race Nancy Jones came in 39th. The girls team has now been selected for the inter counties and in addition to Nancy well done also to Niamh, Flo Robinson and Olivia Monk and, in their first year, to Lois Dooley and Pia Lewis who are both reserves, and will hopefully get their chance next year.
