Message from Mike Bannister…..
Many of you know a year or so ago I was collecting up used running shoes for a charity that shipped clothing etc to poor countries in Africa. Unfortunately due to storage issues they couldn’t take any more off me.
I’ve just found another similar charity who are shipping a load out to Tanzania end of next week so if you can help could you get them to me please by 15th July either at 7 Shirley Avenue, Hove, BN3 6UN (off the top of Shirley Drive) or alternatively with Sam at the Jog Shop.
Don’t worry if they are totally shot, these people are very resourceful and will happily cut the soles off and with a couple of bits of string make a pair of flip flops. (Better than no footwear at all!)
Can I request that you give them a quick clean please and tie the laces together.
