Sussex celebrated the weekend after a fantastic set of performances at the Inter-County Cross Country Champs.

The tone was set in the first race of the day, the Under 13 Girls, where our athlete Julieana Walsh (pictured above) enjoyed a great win.

As the athletes embarked on the final stages in the race, Julieana was in second place by around 20 metres to Katie Webb from Buckinghamshire.

The Brighton & Hove AC youngster found a burst of strength and speed, displaying a sprint finish to take the gold medal.

In the Under 13 boys, scorers Raphael Kelly (Brighton & Hove AC) was 17th, and Saul Bennett (Brighton & Hove AC) was 21st. Next up were the Under 15 girls., where Dulcie Yelling (Brighton & Hove AC) was 25th.
