An introductory session for anyone interested in taking up race walking is to be held at the Lewes track (behind the Leisure Centre) from 9am to 10am this Saturday, 30 November. Young athletes in the under 15/17/20 age groups will be particularly welcome although the session is open to all. Sussex has historically had a strong record in walking events but participation has been decreasing in recent years. This session, and others to be arranged in the new year, seeks to encourage greater involvement in the sport.
No booking required, just turn up at the track on Saturday morning.
