Eight Brighton & Hove athletes will be donning the yellow vest of Sussex as they travel to the North East of England to compete in the English Schools Track and Field Championships from the 8th-9th July.
The event, which once again will be held at Gateshead’s International Stadium, brings together the very best young athletes from across the country to compete for national honours.
For some of our athletes – Moyo Oloko and Max Brazier – it is their first trip to the event, which is known as the Kids Olympics, for others such as Senior boy Stephen Ferroni, a silver medallist over 3000m in 2014, it will be his last.
Intermediate Edan Cole (Javelin) tops the UK rankings as does Amber Anning – last year’s Junior Girls 200m champion – over 300m.
