The girls team got off to a great start to the 2010- 20111 Cross Country Season when eight girls braved the wet and soggy conditions to run the County relays at Chichester.
The under 13s produced a good run, especially as two of the girls were running their first cross country. Well done to Nancy Jones, Ella Witt and Isabel Jones for a fine performance.
In the under 15s we had four girls running but only three could run in the A team. Since we were unable to separate them on ability the team was selected by drawing lots. Hence the A team were Holly Turner, Steff Paraskevas and Laura Smith. They all produced excellent runs and they won the race and are the county champions. Esther Lutz-Davies running in an incomplete team produced an amazing run to get fastest time of all the Brighton girls. It was a brilliant performance by all four girls, it was very exciting to watch and we were very proud of them.
In the under 17s Rachel Titheradge was our lone runner but on this occasion she was able to run with the senior women. She ran the first leg of the women’s A team. The team won second place and silver medals.
