Brighton and Hove had two athletes representing the Southern Counties in the Masters Inter Area indoor challenge at Lee Valley on Sunday. Both had a successful afternoon. Julia Machin W45 placed first in three of her events and second in the other.

Her main competitor was her sister Diana Norman.
Meanwhile David Spencer was in record breaking form, smashing the 11-year-old UK Masters M70 Indoor record in the 400m with a time of 66.03s.
